I went to high school with them at the Armed Forces school in London. They were not a British folk group. Their parents were all US military. Dan and I were good friends. An amazing guitarist and a kind soul, a child prodigy who could pick up and play any string instrument. America was never as good after Dan left. He added the magical musical bits like the opening to Ventura Hiway.

In the 1970's more teenagers had sex in a car with America songs on the radio, 8 track or cassette, than any other band. That's gotta count for something. I mean thats the point, right? Put them in. They got us in.
