We have a soft spot for Julius Silver, but a lot of that was because this was the guy who played Vinny, Doogie Howser's best friend. That aside, one of the reasons we were upset that Vinyl was canceled after one year was that we were curious where the Silver character was going to go. The main reason was as the head of A&R may have been a database for previous rock and roll, his concept of where the genre was going seemed weak.

Why you should not vote:: Vinyl only lasted one season, and he was not the main character. His talent also appeared to be slipping.
