Executing a signature move in WWE isn’t just about athleticism—it’s about precision, timing, and absolute focus. One split-second lapse can turn a match, risking injury or missing the moment that electrifies the audience. Whether it's a high-flying finisher, a devastating slam, or a submission hold, WWE’s elite superstars must maintain complete concentration to pull off these maneuvers flawlessly. But how do they stay locked in at the most crucial moments in an environment filled with deafening crowds, intense pressure, and relentless competition? This blog post explores the ways that help WWE’s top performers remain focused during their signature moves.
Secrets Behind WWE Superstars’ Unshakable Focus In The Ring
1. Mastering in-ring awareness
Mastering in-ring awareness is crucial for WWE superstars to stay focused during their signature moves. The ring is a dynamic environment with constant movement, and knowing its exact dimensions, positioning, and surroundings helps wrestlers execute moves safely and effectively. They must be aware of the ropes, turnbuckles, and their opponent’s location at all times.
A mistimed move due to poor awareness can lead to a missed impact or even injury. As a result, these superstars train extensively to develop this skill, using drills that simulate real match conditions. They also rely on their peripheral vision and instincts to make split-second adjustments.
2. Incorporating kratom products
Some WWE superstars incorporate Kratom products to help them stay focused during their signature moves. Kratom is known for its potential to enhance clarity, improve focus, and relax. Wrestlers perform under extreme pressure, and maintaining focus is crucial when executing complex maneuvers.
Some may use it to stay mentally sharp, while others do it to sustain their endurance during long matches. However, it’s important to choose high-quality from reliable sources. Well, then, if you are a professional looking for such products, you may want to buy exclusive kratom brands online.
3. Maintaining strict match pacing
Maintaining strict match pacing is crucial for WWE superstars to stay focused during their signature moves. Pacing a match means controlling the speed, energy, and rhythm to ensure every move is executed precisely. Rushing can lead to miscalculations while moving too slowly can give opponents time to counter.
WWE’s elite understand when to speed up or slow down based on the flow of the match. This helps them stay mentally sharp and physically prepared when it’s time to perform their signature move. Besides, proper pacing also allows them to manage fatigue, ensuring they have the strength and coordination needed for the big moment.
4. Adapting to opponent’s movement
A WWE superstar’s signature move is only as effective as their ability to execute it at the right moment. This requires adapting to an opponent’s movement in real-time. Wrestlers must read body language, anticipate counters, and adjust their positioning instantly. If opponents are off balance, they might need to modify their grip or angle to maintain control.
Even a split-second adjustment can prevent a botched move or injury if an opponent moves too soon or too late. As a trained professional, they understand that training helps build this awareness, but instinct and experience take over in the ring. Simply put, being adaptable is what keeps them in control, even when the unexpected happens.
5. Locking in muscle control
Locking in muscle control is crucial for WWE superstars when executing signature moves. These moves require precise body positioning, balance, and strength to ensure impact and safety. Without proper control, a move can go wrong, leading to botches or even serious injuries. Wrestlers develop this control through rigorous training, focusing on core stability, limb coordination, and controlled force application.
Muscle control helps them maintain form mid-air, absorb impact correctly, and adjust in split seconds if needed. It also allows them to protect their opponent while making the move look powerful. Whether delivering a powerbomb or executing a high-flying maneuver, the elites rely on muscle control to perform their moves flawlessly.
6. Enhancing reaction time
Enhancing reaction time is crucial for WWE superstars to stay focused during their signature moves. The fast-paced nature of wrestling means that opponents can counter, shift positions, or create unexpected situations at any moment. To execute a move successfully, wrestlers must process these changes instantly and adjust without hesitation. They train their reflexes through drills that simulate actual match conditions, improving their ability to react under pressure.
They even spar with different styles of opponents to sharpen their adaptability, ensuring they can maintain control even in unpredictable scenarios. Last but not the least, quick decision-making allows them to stay locked into the moment, ensuring their movements are precise and effective.
7. Training under real-match pressure
WWE superstars train under real-match pressure to ensure they can execute signature moves with complete focus. Practice sessions are designed to mimic actual match conditions, including crowd noise, bright lights, and fast-paced action. This helps wrestlers get comfortable performing in intense environments. By putting themselves in such situations during training, they learn to leverage pressure for performance rather than letting it become a distraction.
In fact, coaches and veteran wrestlers create unpredictable scenarios to test reactions and decision-making. Their designed repetitive drills reinforce muscle memory, making their moves feel automatic even in chaotic moments.
8. Using cue-based concentration
Many WWE superstars use cue-based concentration to stay locked in during their signature moves. This means linking specific actions, sounds, or triggers to their focus. For example, a wrestler might take a deep breath before lifting an opponent or use the sound of the crowd as a reminder to stay composed. These cues help them stay mentally engaged even in high-pressure moments.
At the same time, by training their minds to respond automatically to these triggers, they reduce hesitation and execute moves with precision.
Wrapping Up
Staying focused during signature moves is what sets WWE’s elite apart from the rest. Every strategy is crucial in ensuring precision and safety, from mastering in-ring awareness to using cue-based concentration. Wrestlers train relentlessly to sharpen their reflexes, control their movements, and adapt to unpredictable situations. Mental and physical conditioning, combined with personalized techniques, helps them maintain peak performance under pressure. Whether through disciplined routines, reaction-based training, or supplemental support, their ability to stay locked in defines their success.
WrestleMania has long been celebrated as the pinnacle of professional wrestling entertainment, drawing fans from across the globe to witness the spectacle of athleticism, drama, and storytelling that unfolds within the squared circle. As the wrestling world gears up for the 40th iteration of this event, anticipation reaches a fever pitch, with fans speculating on the outcomes of the highly anticipated matchups.
WrestleMania 40 is shaping up to be a landmark event featuring a card that promises to showcase wrestling talent and deliver on the intense rivalries and captivating storylines that have been brewing.
This colossal collision has been brewing for months. Cody Rhodes, the prodigal son returning from AEW, set his sights on the ultimate prize – the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship held by the seemingly invincible Roman Reigns.
It was a lengthy journey, but Rhodes vs. Reigns II is now confirmed as the main event for WrestleMania. Initially, WWE seemed poised for a Reigns vs. Rock showdown, but overwhelming fan demand prompted a change in plans, returning Cody to the main event scene where many felt he belonged.
Cody is widely expected to conclude his narrative by capturing the WWE title. This will allow Roman Reigns to feud with The Rock, setting the stage for their headline match at WrestleMania 41.
This one's a toss-up. While Reigns' reign has been historic, the narrative leans towards Rhodes' triumphant return. For their upcoming Universal Championship match, Cody Rhodes is the favorite at -600 odds, while Roman Reigns is the underdog at +350. However, a potential twist could involve interference, setting up a future rematch.
Night one throws a massive curveball with this tag team clash. The Rock, a legend returning to the grandest stage, teams up with Reigns, adding another layer of intrigue.
The upcoming tag team match at WrestleMania between Roman Reigns and The Rock and Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is poised to be the most significant in the event's history. The Rock challenged Cody and Seth with significant implications for Night 2.
If Rock and Roman emerge victorious, Cody's match with Roman will adhere to Bloodline Rules. Conversely, if Rhodes secures the win, he will earn a one-on-one shot against Reigns for the title with no outside interference allowed.
It adds to The Rock's first substantial match since WrestleMania 28. Given WWE's penchant for dramatic twists, it's no surprise that Reigns and Rock are favored. On Sunday night, WWE promises fans an unforgettable main event with all the bells and whistles. This could be a strategic move by WWE to preserve Roman's reign while giving fans a dream match experience.
Expect a thrilling encounter, but the odds favor Reigns and The Rock. They are listed at -500, indicating they are the clear favorites to win. On the other hand, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are the underdogs at +300, suggesting an upset. This match is not just about the rivalry between the two teams but also the individual dynamics within each pairing.
Betting on the event is expected to play a huge part in the fan's engagement with the event. Using the PrizePicks promo code can offer special bonuses to enhance your WWE betting experience.
A clash of two former champions with unfinished business. Rollins, the current titleholder, faces the ever-resilient Drew McIntyre. With the focus on the main event, Rollins might retain here. However, McIntyre's victory wouldn't be a surprise, setting the stage for future championship pursuits.
Drew McIntyre is expected to defeat Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. McIntyre is the clear favorite at -300 odds, while Rollins is the underdog at +350, indicating that a victory for him would be considered an upset.
McIntyre's recent success as a menacing heel and his victory in the Chamber has set the stage for a potential title win at WrestleMania. Despite not winning a world title since 2020, McIntyre now has the opportunity to do so against Seth "Freakin" Rollins.
However, there is a caveat to these odds related to McIntyre's contract status. There are rumors that his contract is set to expire after WrestleMania 40, and if he and WWE cannot come to terms on an extension, it may impact the match's outcome. If McIntyre is not planning to renew his contract, it might not make sense for him to win the championship.
Logan Paul will face Randy Orton and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania. Paul is the favorite at -400 odds. Orton follows at +250, while Owens is the underdog at +1,400, suggesting a significant upset if he wins.
Paul has been vocal about his lack of a WrestleMania opponent, but he now has two formidable challengers. Owens and Paul have been embroiled in a long-standing feud, and Paul recently interfered in a match, costing Orton a victory in the Elimination Chamber.
Given that SummerSlam will be held in Paul's home state of Ohio, he will likely retain the U.S. Championship until then, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this already intense rivalry.
WrestleMania 40 promises a spectacular blend of dream matches, returning legends, and rising stars. With captivating storylines, high-stakes championship bouts, and the potential for unforgettable surprises, this two-night event will impact the wrestling world.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is globally renowned for showcasing athletes with seemingly superhuman strength, stamina, and physique. One crucial, yet often underplayed, element fueling these extraordinary performances is testosterone boosters.
These compounds not only provide the necessary vigour and energy but also aid in faster recovery and muscle growth, making them indispensable to the arduous routines of WWE superstars.
Furthermore, understanding the nuanced application and effects of these boosters is pivotal for both the industry insiders and the enthusiastic audience who avidly follow the sport.
Testosterone boosters are supplements designed to increase testosterone levels in the blood. Elevated testosterone offers various advantages, such as enhanced muscle mass development, increased strength and endurance, improved recovery rates post-exercise, and sharpened focus and concentration.
Moreover, they play a significant role in maintaining bone density and red blood cell production, crucial factors contributing to an athlete’s overall health and vitality.
There's a distinction between natural and synthetic testosterone boosters. Many athletes and professionals often gravitate towards the best testosterone boosters, which are a blend of both natural and synthetic ingredients. Natural boosters, derived from herbs and dietary elements, tend to have milder effects with lower risk profiles.
Ingredients like fenugreek, ginger, and ashwagandha are prominent in this category. In contrast, synthetic boosters are stronger and faster-acting but might introduce more severe side effects, necessitating careful administration and monitoring.
Understanding this difference is imperative for athletes, as it enables them to make informed decisions about which type of booster best aligns with their health profiles and performance goals.
For WWE superstars, presenting an optimal physical appearance while performing high-intensity moves is paramount. Testosterone boosters assist in sculpting a lean, muscular physique, rendering the athletes capable of executing strenuous routines effortlessly.
Elevated testosterone levels also underpin increased aggression and competitive drive, crucial traits for captivating performances inside the ring. Additionally, with the audience's expectations continually escalating, these boosters are invaluable in helping wrestlers meet and surpass these anticipatory standards with each performance.
Athletes in the WWE engage in rigorous schedules, with frequent travel and limited downtime. Testosterone boosters play a vital role in hastening recovery after strenuous matches, reducing fatigue, and mitigating the risk of injury.
These supplements also contribute to the athletes’ career longevity by maintaining peak physical condition and mitigating age-related testosterone decline. The wear and tear wrestlers experience are significant, making the recuperative properties of testosterone boosters an essential aspect of their dietary and health regimen.
WWE athletes adhere to stringent guidelines to ensure safe and responsible usage of testosterone boosters. They undergo regular medical assessments to monitor testosterone levels, liver function, and overall health.
Medical professionals guide the administration, adjusting dosages to avoid overdose or unhealthy dependence, thereby safeguarding the athletes' wellbeing. This meticulous approach to testosterone supplementation ensures not only the athletes' peak performance but also their long-term health and welfare in a highly demanding profession.
Though testosterone boosters offer undeniable benefits, ethical considerations around their use cannot be overlooked. WWE implements strict policies and testing procedures to prevent abuse of these supplements, maintaining a fair and level playing field.
These efforts also serve to uphold the integrity of the sport and protect the athletes from potential long-term health risks associated with supplement misuse. Engaging in open dialogues about these ethical considerations further reinforces the commitment to fairness and health within the WWE community and its wide-reaching influence.
Using testosterone boosters isn’t without its risks, and it’s vital for WWE superstars and their medical teams to acknowledge and navigate these potential side effects meticulously.
These supplements can sometimes lead to acne, sleep apnea, enlarged breasts in men, and mood fluctuations. Additionally, there's the risk of heart diseases and mental health issues, especially when the boosters are misused or overused without medical supervision. Awareness and understanding of these potential side effects are crucial for the athletes to use testosterone boosters responsibly and sustainably.
For optimal health, WWE athletes and their health advisors employ proactive strategies to mitigate and manage the side effects of testosterone boosters. Individualized plans, taking into account each wrestler’s health profile, performance needs, and career goals, are formulated.
Regular screenings and health check-ups are conducted to monitor the athletes’ response to testosterone supplementation and adjust dosages accordingly. Lifestyle modifications, including dietary changes and stress management techniques, are often recommended to counterbalance the side effects, ensuring that the athletes remain in prime condition for both performances and life outside the ring.
Testosterone boosters are an integral component of a WWE superstar’s toolkit for peak performance, providing the necessary physiological support for both in-ring actions and recovery.
Administered judiciously and ethically, these supplements enable the athletes to entertain millions worldwide with their remarkable strength, resilience, and charisma while safeguarding their health and careers.
For enthusiasts and aspiring wrestlers, understanding the role and responsible use of testosterone boosters is crucial for navigating a successful and healthy journey in the exhilarating world of WWE. The insightful exploration of testosterone boosters’ nuanced applications highlights their indispensable role in crafting the awe-inspiring spectacles that WWE admirers cherish and celebrate.

Both UFC and Pro Wrestling are fighting duels popular in the US. They are similar in many ways; however, differences also exist.
UFC or Ultimate Fighting Championships was established in 1993 to manage and host MMA tournaments. On the other hand, the WWE is a form of entertainment with activities carefully scripted.
WWE is popular among wrestlers, thanks to the high compensation to winners. For example, top wrestlers earn up to $1 million a year.
Because of the disparities in payment, many UFC players have crossed over to WWE. Let’s take a look at UFC fighters who have crossed over to pro wrestling.
Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar is a professional wrestler, former Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, and footballer. The 44-year-old wrestler joined MMA in 2007 and signed up with UFC a year later. He won the UFC heavyweight championship in 2009.
Brock has had four victories but lost three times during his time in the UFC. He first appeared in WWE in 2002 at only 25 years and had a short stint of two years. In a move that surprised the WWE fraternity, Brock walked away from a lucrative seven-year contract worth $45 million in 2004. However, he came back during the 2020 SummerSlam 2020 PPV match.
Currently, WWE no longer advertises Brock for WrestleMania Backlash. However, they still promote him for Money in the Bank 2022. Therefore, he is still a pro wrestler with WWE.
Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle is a 36-year-old professional wrestler and a former MMA. He is under a WWE contract where he makes appearances on the Raw Brand.
Matt Riddle made his debut in the UFC in 2008, and at 22, he was among the wrestlers who fought during the Ultimate Fighter season. After two failed drug tests, he parted ways with UFC in 2013.
In 2014, he started training for pro wrestling where he performed a year later. He then became the Monster Factory Heavyweight Championship winner.
In 2015, he joined the WWN for the Evolve performances and in 2016, he made a debut for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla(PWG).
In 2018, there were reports that Riddle signed with WWE and the same year, he made appearances at NXT TakeOver-Brooklyn IV.
He has competed in stellar performances in the Royal Rumble, SmackDown, Tag Team Champions, and Elimination Chamber matches.
Junior Dos Santos
Junior Dos Santos is a 38-year-old Brazilian MMA wrestler and professional wrestler. He made his star appearance in UFC in 2008 when he defeated Fabricio Werdum in the first round.
In 2021, he made appearances in All Elite Wrestling(AEW), supporting American Top Team boss Dan Lambert.

He's a part of Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagle FC.10 Mar 2022, an MMA promotion company.
Conclusion
Despite top wrestlers moving to pro wrestling, UFC sport odds and sponsorship deals have increased the sport's popularity. As the numbers continue rising, so will the revenues. With better payments for the wrestlers, there may be fewer crossovers in the future.
If only they did this when he was alive.
The WWE has announced that Vader will enter the WWE Hall of Fame as the second name inducted this year. The Undertaker was announced last week.
Vader debuted in 1987 and with his size and agility, the former football player was a natural for the ring. Signing with New Japan in 1989, Vader (then known as Big Van Vader), destroyed Antonio Inoki in his debut, causing the Sumo Hall fans to riot. He would win their version of the World Heavyweight Title multiple times, and he would sign with WCW in the early 90s, becoming their top heel.
Vader would main event multiple pay per views, including classic bouts with Sting. With WCW, he won the World Heavyweight Title three times, and could have potentially won more had he not been fired in 1995 following an altercation with wrestler/agent, Paul Orndorff.
Vader signed with the WWE in 1996, and debuted at the Royal Rumble with Jim Cornette as his manager. His high-water mark was a WWE World Heavyweight title shot against Shawn Michaels at Summer Slam 1996, but he was politically handcuffed and he would slide down the card, leaving the company three years later.
He passed away in 2018 and the age of 62 following a battle with cancer.
Vader is currently ranked on our WWE Hall of Fame list, and will be removed following an overhaul after Wrestlemania weekend.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate the fans and family of the late Leon White.
WrestleMania is one of the WWE’s most important events. Each spring since 1985,the WWE has brought together some of its most successful wrestlers who hash out year-long feuds between the ropes. There’s guts, glory, and more than a handful of celebrity guest wrestlers.
These have run the gambit over the years, from a Chris Jericho cross-promotion of Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes in 2001 to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, belting out ‘America The Beautiful’ to open up the third annual event in 1988.
Part pro sport and part acting gig, professional wrestling’s ongoing success might surprise a traditional sports fan. It doesn’t have a set of clear rules, won’t be played at the Olympics any time soon, and doesn’t often feature on afree sports bet offer from oddsmakers given the difficulties of betting on the WWE.
However, what the WWE lacks in traditional representation it makes up for in a wild ride, truly athletic stunts, and a cast of unforgettable characters. Even better, the depth of bets is starting to expand as the sport becomes more mainstream—and one of those prop bets on offer is whether a celebrity will win a match during WrestleMania.
As the biggest pro wrestling event in the world, WrestleMania has seen celebrities from all industries step foot in the ring. Some, like the cast of Jackass, have been huge successes. Others, like the flops listed below, have gained notoriety for being some of the worst celeb appearances (including RAW segments).
Number One: Kevin Federline
Back in 2006, the former partner of pop star Britney Spears was at the height of his fame. As mentioned above, most celebrity appearances on WWE coincide with promoting another project; for K-Fed, this was a studio album.
Fans were torn about the worst part of the performance—was it when John Cena attempted to out-rap Federline? When Federline showed up at another RAW event and the WWE powers-that-be let a D-list celebrity pin Cena? Many are still wondering.
Number Two: Jerry Springer
On the surface, Springer should be a hit for the WWE, as the TV personality knows drama and timing. Unfortunately, both of his appearances were incredibly awkward. What should have been a killer segment with Springer mediating The Bella Twins turned into a masterclass in horrendous acting.
Was it Springer’s fault, or another mishandling from WWE producers who banked too much on performers delivering complex dialogue?
Number Three: Gronk
This call-out isn’t based on Gronk’s lack of acting skills or mismanagement from the WWE. Instead, reports from other wrestlers hint that the NFL star was actually the problem. As he prepared to host WrestleMania for his second appearance in the WWE, wrestlers reported a subpar attitude behind the scenes that led toa subpar reception from fans.
Number Four: Donald Trump
Once again, the WWE looked to have a winner when Donald Trump, of The Apprentice fame at the time, signed on for a WrestleMania appearance. Typically, fans enjoy seeing non-athletic celebs jump into the ring and get their hands dirty—a line like ‘you’re fired’ only adds to the hype and serves to drive a longstanding feud between Trump and Vince McMahon.
Unfortunately, the WWE forever ruined this interesting dynamic when they sent Bobby Lashley and Umaga into the ring on behalf of Trump and McMahon, respectively. Though WrestleMania 23 saw Stone Cold Steve Austin down the future president with a Stunner, audiences were noticeably cold to the new routine.
Number Five / Best of the Worst: The Muppets
Once again part of a 2011 promotion of The Muppets, this RAW crossover was hilarious, confusing, and memorable. Highlights include Miss Piggy’s altercation with Vickie Guerrero and Jack Swagger and Swagger’s attack on Gonzo.
The World Wrestling Entertainment is one of the most popular entertainment companies in the United States. With the main inspiration behind the company being Lucha libre, WWE combines professional wrestling, with the over-the-top nature of comic book heroics, and the drama of performance-theater, to create one of the most popular, entertaining, and interesting American cultural exports. WWE is the world’s most popular pro-wrestling organization, and has spawned numerous video games, and imitators.
What is interesting about WWE is that even though the matches are predetermined, and made purely for entertainment, fans of WWE and betting can still bet on the matches. While the matches are predetermined, the company keeps the winner under tight wrap, which allows people to place bets on who the winner is. Novibet sports betting allows users to bet on a number of sports, including WWE matches.
Throughout the decade long history of the WWE, there have been a number of performers who have stood out among their peers, and have even been able to transition to a career in acting and music. In this article, we will take a look at some of the biggest, and most popular wrestlers in the history of WWE.
The Undertaker
Mark William Calaway, better known as The Undertaker is one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE, with more nicknames than any other wrestler. Whether you want to call him the Mean Mark, The Punisher, the Commando, or the Master of Pain, the Undertaker is without a doubt one of WWE’s greatest performers. For a long time, his story was at the center of WWE’s biggest event, WrestleMania, where he became known for his streak of 21, uninterrupted victories.
One of the biggest Undertaker stories in the WWE is his feud, and subsequent reconciliation with his half-brother Kane, another rather famous wrestler, with whom he later paired up to form the duo, Brothers of Destruction.
A part of Undertaker’s appeal lay in his gimmick, which involves his dark/black/goth clothing, and horror film-themed, funeral-like appearance and aesthetic, which is where he got his name.
John Cena
When speaking about the most popular wrestlers of the 21st century, we can’t not mention John Cena. Cena’s popularity has made him one of WWE’s top-earning performers, as well as earning him 16 WWE world championships, a record which he still holds today. John Cena began his career as a trash talking rapper, however, later on polished his persona. Today he is most known for his catchphrase “You Can’t See Me”, and his trumped-scored introduction theme, which has recently become a meme.
In recent years, John Cena transitioned from WWE to a career in acting, and has since starred in a few blockbuster flicks, including Trainwreck, Bumblebee, and most recently, Suicide Squad. He has also been a major force when it comes to charitable causes, most notably the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
By far the most popular pro-wrestler in the world, Dwayne is now more commonly known as an actor than he is as a WWE wrestler, but he got his start in the ring, where he debuted in 1996. Today he has starred in a number of films, and most recently has tried his hand at a music career as well.
Professional wrestling lost one of the great ones as Blackjack Lanza died today. He was 86 years old.
Lanza began his career in 1961, and while he did wrestle all around the world, it was with the American Wrestling Association where he performed the most. His biggest success would be with Blackjack Mulligan, where under the management of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, he won their Tag Team Titles, and they would also win the tag titles in the then-named WWWF.
Lanza wrestled until 1983, and two years later would go to work for the WWF as an agent/producer, a role he held for years.
Along with Mulligan, the Blackjacks were inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to the fans, family and friends of Blackjack Lanza.

Wrestlemania is the biggest, most anticipated event on the pro wrestling calendar, period. The WWE may not be the monopoly it once was, with the AEW contending strongly, but Wrestlemania still stands atop the hill and always delivers, from the events leading up to it to the big one. The WWE always does a great job from promos to the actual event, and can make you feel like you just got a Monkey Knife Fight promo code which will be a total gem to have in case there is a big bet to go for. After a year hampered by the coronavirus and having to stage events at their training facility, this year's event may have fans in the stands as the government works through the vaccine. Before Wrestlemania, though, there is the SmackDown and Raw pay-per-view of Fastlane. The event and results could have a telling impact on Wrestlemania matchups, including finding a challenger for WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
Fastlane is going to be packed with key matchups, and championship fights at almost every turn.
Bianca Bel Air and Sasha Banks
Banks dropped one of the hottest lines of the year when she said she was the Michael Jordan of women's wrestling, and if Bianca Bel Air worked hard enough, she could become the LeBron James of it. It was both taunt and respect from Banks who is set to face Belaire at Wrestlemania. Before their big fight, however, both women have the opportunity to be crowned tag team champions, when they face the team of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Both women are still to hit a sweet spot in their chemistry and Fastlane is too big a stage or opportunity to mess up once again.
Apollo Crews and Big E
Apollo Crews finally showed his true colours, turning into a heel in the process and putting the hurt on Big E. While sidelined with injury, the former New Day man has probably had nothing but revenge on his mind, and at Fastlane, he will have his shot at Crews. Both men will battle for pride, bad blood, and the intercontinental championship. On SmackDown, Big E laid down an open challenge to Crews for the intercontinental championship, but got Sami Zayn instead, who provided solid distraction until E clamped him with a Big Ending. Only then did Crews show up to deliver a steel step beatdown on the champ, setting up a tasty Fastlane encounter.
Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns
Daniel Bryan beat Jey Uso on Smackdown to book his place on Fastlane as the challenger to Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Bryan is hell-bent on winning or at the very least make an appearance at Wrestlemania, but all of that will depend on how his shot at Fastlane goes. This week on SmackDown, the Rated-R superstar Edge, called out Bryan for his cunning tactics to worm his way into a title shot, as both men could potentially be a matchup in the near future.
The card for Fastlane continues to grow, and so also are the matchups. It should be a ton of fun to watch.
It is a dark day in the WWE as Pat Patterson, longtime employee and former wrestler passed away today at the age of 78.
From Quebec, Patterson first wrestled in 1958, and rose up the ranks, moving from promotion to promotion, winning many regional titles. Hid best early work was considered to be his tag team with Ray Stevens as the Blonde Bombers. Based out of San Francisco, many modern tag team wrestlers cite the Bombers as one of the most influential tag teams of the 1970s.
Patterson joined the then named WWWF in 1978, and would become the first ever Intercontinental Championship in a fictional tournament. Patterson would have the WWF feud of the year after turning babyface against Sgt. Slaughter. His in-career would wind down, and he would later serve WWE Owner, Vince McMahon’s right hand, where he was praised for his ability to lay out matches and come up with finishes. It was Patterson who came up with the concept of the Royal Rumble, which is one of the biggest and most important matches of the year.
In the late 90s, Patterson was known on TV alongside Gerry Brisco as one of the “Stooges”, which often provided comedic aspects and occasional in-ring returns.
Patterson is believed to be one of first openly gay wrestlers.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to the fans, friends and family of Pat Patterson.
The day after the WWE released or furloughed a significant percentage of their roster due to financial issues stemming from Covid-19, the dark cloud over the largest wrestling organization continues as it was announced that Howard Finkel passed away. He was 69 years old.
Finkel was the first employee of the WWE, when Vince McMahon Sr. hired him in 1975. Over the years, Finkel has been the ring announcer at Madison Square Gardens, Pay Per Views, and numerous television shows until 2000, when he was replaced by Lillian Garcia. He remained employed by the WWE in an office role.
Finkel would occasionally be involved in in-ring angles, most notably a mini-feud with Harvey Whippleman. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.
Finkel had been in poor health over the last few years, and he had made few public appearances over that time.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to the friends and family of Howard Finkel at this time.
