As one of the many strong muscle bound wrestlers in the WWF during the 80’s, Hercules Hernandez still managed to stand out. Anyone with the moniker of “Hercules” better have the physique to back it up. Thankfully, that was not an issue for the man who gained his greatest fame as a member of the Bobby Heenan family.
Hercules was not just a strong wrestler. He was a solid in ring performer who had a lot of good matches that went largely unnoticed. Perceived as one dimensional, Hercules Hernandez had a lot more skill than he got credit for and one just has to look at the series of matches with Billy Jack Haynes to see that. He had a long run with Stamford, and though his last six months there was as a jobber, his time near the upper mid card produced one of the better performers of his era.
