gold star for USAHOF

Wyclef Jean

He may not be the best known Fugee, but Wyclef Jean may be the most talented one. Upon the breakup of the Fugees, Jean was able to show the breadth of his musical skills which made him one of the most diverse Hip Hop artists of his time. That did not necessarily make him one of the most successful, for as though he remained in the public eye, Wyclef Jean is far from the most successful ambassador of Hip Hop. His best shot is likely with the Fugees, which would recognize a very talented group of artists.

77. Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill might get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Fugees, but there is a contingent that thinks she has earned a spot in Cleveland based on her solo work; even though that is really only one album. Still, that chance can’t be discounted as that album is easily one of the best of the late 90s and was a landmark effort in both Neo-Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop and justifiably won multiple Grammy Awards. Had Hill not forsaken her career for a dislike of the spotlight, she would be a lock for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; as of right now, we have no idea.
