When Beck’s first hit, “Loser” first came out, a lot of people (some of us included) wanted to pigeon hole him as a novelty act.  Once we kept listening to him, many of us wanted to re-label him as a musical genius.

That is a label that many paint him with.  Seemingly, there is no instrument that Beck can’t master and put his own spin of quirky and trippy alternative sound to.  Painting him as an anti-folk rebel or really anything in the alt spectrum seems wrong.  Beck is so much more than just an ironic hipster, he is a rock and roll star…whether he thinks he is or not.
