Martin Straka came to Pittsburgh as a 1992 1st Round Pick from Czechoslovakia, and he debuted that year, appearing in 42 Games for the team. Straka would have a strong sophomore season where he had 64 Points in 1993-94, but the young forward was traded for a pair of gritty performers in Troy Murphy and Norm MacIver. This deal would, however, not be the end of Straka in Pittsburgh.
