2023: Pre-Season Rank: Unranked. Peak Period 2018-22
A two-time Pro Bowl and two-time Second Team All-Pro, Jaire Alexander might have a tumultuous career on and off the field, but he is at his peak and capable of a monster season.
Yes, we know that this is taking a while!
As many of you know, we at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the top 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists and consistently look to update them when necessary and based on necessity. As such, we are delighted to present our post-2023 revision of our top 50 Green Bay Packers.
As for all of our top 50 players in football, we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles that are not reflected in a stat sheet.
Last year, the Packers returned to the playoffs but were a first-round exit. Despite the success of the 2023 Season, the long tenure of the Packers did not give us a new entrant, though two players came close to joining the Top 50. As such, there were no changes, but we always acknowledge that we looked at the previous year.
As always, we present our top five, which (obviously) saw no changes:
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Brett Favre
3. Don Hutson
4. Forrest Gregg
5. Bart Starr
You can find the entire list here.
We thank you for your continued support of our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.
Undrafted from Colgate, Eugene Robinson had one of the longest careers of any Defensive Back.
Signing with the Seattle Seahawks, Robinson made the squad as a rookie and would become a starter at Free Safety, a position he held until the millennium. Robinson was a dominant ballhawk, recording 57 Interceptions, including a league-leading nine in 1993. He was also one of the better tacklers of his time, recording 1,413 in total with four seasons exceeding 100.
Robinson made his first Pro Bowl in 1992, his second in 1993, and there were other years when he could have easily been considered. After 11 years with the Seahawks, Robinson signed with the contending Green Bay Packers and helped them win Super Bowl XXXI. He intercepted John Elway in Green Bay’s Super Bowl XXXII loss to Denver.
The Safety then signed with Atlanta, where his veteran leadership and outstanding defence helped the Falcons make the Super Bowl, meaning that Robinson went to three straight and the second time facing Denver. It was a horrible performance by Robinson, who allowed an 80-yard Touchdown by Rod Smith, and missed a tackle to Terrell Davis that led to a long gain. Robinson was arrested the night before for solicitation, which was especially ironic as he won the Bart Starr Award for outstanding character and leadership.
Robinson played another year in Atlanta but was never forgiven by a large segment of the Falcons fanbase. He had one final year in Carolina before hanging it up, and we wish he was more known for his great games and not Super Bowl XXXIII.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is best known for his distinctive name and his time with the Green Bay team, where he was a fan favorite during the 2010s.
Clinton-Dix was a two-time BCS Champion at Alabama and a First Round Pick in 2014. He was an All-Rookie Selection with Green Bay and had two interceptions in their NFC Championship loss against Seattle. Clinton-Dix played as a Free Safety and remained a starter over the next few years, having his best season in 2016 with a Pro Bowl and Second Team All-Pro nod. He was traded to Washington during the 2018 Season and later had a good year in Chicago in 2019, but only played two more Games afterward in 2021 as a Las Vegas Raider.
Clinton-Dix has a total of 16 career interceptions.
2023: Pre-Season Rank: #127. Peak Period: 2019-23
Jacobs won the 2022 Rushing and Yards From Scrimmage Titles but could not capitalize on them, and his output was slashed in half the following season. This season, he joins the Green Bay Packers, replacing Aaron Jones and embracing a fresh start.
Notable note on Jacobs, he has yet to record a Touchdown Reception.

Last year, the Packers had a disappointing season, with a Quarterback who seemed to be the source of conjecture. Saying that, the numbers for said pivot kept compiling and we had a huge decision to make…and we did.
As always, we present our top five, which had a major change at the top.
2. Brett Favre
3. Don Hutson
5. Bart Starr
You can find the entire list here.
Rodgers supplanted Favre at the top spot, and the overall statistical difference (even with era comparison) proved to big to ignore. The chasm will not grow, as Rodgers begins 2023 with the New York Jets, and Green Bay now enters the Jordan Love period).
Offensive Lineman, David Bakhtiari, climbs four rungs to #28.
We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.
From the legendary Matthews family, Clay Matthews III became a perfect fit for Lambeau Field.
Matthews was a star Linebacker since the moment he began, earning a Pro Bowl selection in his rookie year and making five more since. Matthews has excelled at pass rushing and whenever you watch a game that featured Green Bay it is likely that Matthews was all over the screen.
A First Team All-Pro in 2010, Matthews III was the runner-up for the Defensive Player of the Year, with the PFWA naming him as their DPOY.
Matthews played a large part in Green Bay’s success in the 2010s, leading them to a Super Bowl in the aforementioned 2010 campaign. He finished his career with a final year with the Rams, and had 91.5 Sacks with 130 Tackles for Loss over his career.
Aaron Rodgers isn’t a man who holds back, and it’s perhaps why he’s so evident in the public eye, perhaps more so than anyone else in the NFL. When the Green Bay Packers star talks, there’s always a microphone ready to amplify his message. The veteran quarterback can also be viciously amusing, and it’s clear that he has the respect of his team-mates, both past, and present.
In a light-hearted interview, Rodgers echoed previous comments made by Davante Adams when he responded to the return of Allen Lazard after he missed off-season duty as a way to force the issue on a new contract, the 38-year-old joked;
"I mean, it's always tough going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer,"
This was a direct response to Adams discussing now working with Derek Carr at the Las Vegas Raiders, having previously had the pleasure of receiving passes from Rodgers for the best part of eight years.
Rodgers is always ready to put himself into the action and to be fair, he is a big part of Green Bay and is pretty much the unofficial spokesman for a team he has represented with honor for 17 seasons.
American football betting can be an exciting and rewarding experience, but it can also be a bit intimidating for newcomers. Fortunately, there are numerous casino bonuses available that can give players the extra edge they need when it comes to making their bets. Letting unused bonuses expire is one of the biggest mistakes players make when it comes to making use of their online casino bonus; always remember that these promotions come with expiration dates so make sure you take full advantage before they run out! Also, focus on placing bets on high-value markets like point spreads and totals as these will give you better odds in comparison with lower return markets like parlays or props bets which may have higher risk involved too, read more here verovapaatkasinot.com/kasinobonukset
It’s now 12 years since Rodgers picked up his sole Super Bowl championship and arguably a second, if well overdue. You can’t fault the efforts of the outspoken QB; he has, after all, been named the NFL MVP for two seasons in a row and four times in total.
The departure of Adams may harm such hopes, and the connection that Rodgers had with the 29-year-old wide receiver was palpable. This didn’t stop him from turning down a new Packers deal and instead took a five-year offer from the Raiders said to be worth over $141 million.
The reasons for the move were not just financial as Adams was keen to connect again with Carr, who was a college team-mate back in Fresno State.
Now Rodgers needs Lazard to step up, and the 26-year-old certainly upped his game in 2021, collecting eight touchdown passes, a total that was more than his previous two completed seasons combined.
Aaron Rodgers turned up for training camp in an outfit that was instantly compared to that worn by Nicolas Cage in Con-Air, and while such a move is classic Rodgers behavior, it’s always important to remember, if it was not already abundantly clear, that while the 10-time Pro Bowl pick is always ready to crack a joke (even at his own expense), there are few NFL players that take the game as seriously as Aaron Rodgers.

Last year, Green Bay entered the playoffs as the top seed in the NFC, but were bounced in their first game.
As a result of last year, we have one elevation, and one new entry.
As always, we present our top five, which saw one significant change.
1. Brett Favre
3. Don Hutson
5. Bart Starr
You can find the entire list here.
Aaron Rodgers captured his fourth MVP, and while he did not win a second Super Bowl in 2021, he had an outstanding season, statistically positioning himself as the Quarterback who will eclipse Brett Favre. He moved from #3 to #2, overtaking first ballot Hall of Famer, Don Hutson.
Wide Receiver, Davante Adams, who was traded to Las Vegas in the off-season, debuts at #40, following his second straight First Team All-Pro.
We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.
The top Wide Receiver at Fresno State, Davante Adams joined the Green Bay Packers as a Second Round Pick in 2011. Adams was just under 500 Yards in each of his two seasons, but in his third season, he broke out as a top option.
Adams went to his first of five straight Pro Bowls, with the latter two years establishing him as one of the top players at this position. A First Team All-Pro in both 2020 and 2021, Adams led the NFL in Touchdowns with 18 in 2020, and had another three 10-plus years in that metric. Emerging as the favorite target for Aaron Rodgers, Adams had 1,374 Yards and 1,553 Yards in 2020 and 2021 respectively, and was the top offensive weapon for one of the most feared teams in the NFL. The Packers made the playoffs six times with Adams on the squad, and were Super Bowl contenders through the majority of his time as a Packer.
The Rodgers-Adams connection ended when the Wide Receiver was traded to the Las Vegas in the 2022 off-season. With GreenYes, we know that this is taking a while!

Rodgers, the reigning MVP, moved up from #6.
The other jump is Offensive Lineman, David Bakhtiari climbed six spots to #30. He was a First Team All-Pro this year, despite only playing in 12 Games.

This is the second revision of the Packers, and our first since last year.

1. Brett Favre
2. Don Hutson
4. Bart Starr
5. Ray Nitschke
The top five remains unaltered from our last rank and there are no new entries, however, there were two significant changes overall.
Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers inched up from #7 to #6. Offensive Lineman, David Bahktiari, debuts at #37. It was an oversight on our part not to have had Bahktiari enter the list in our last revision.
We welcome your input and commentsand as always, we thank you for your support.
David Bakhtiari played 11 seasons with the Green Bay Packers where the former Colorado Buffalo has proven himself to be one of the best Tackles in the NFL.
2023 Pre-Season Rank #27, 2022 Pre-Season Rank #30, 2021 Pre-Season Rank #58, 2020 Pre-Season Rank #56. Peak Period: 2016-2020
Bakhtiari was Aaron Rodger's top Offensive Lineman for years, and for a time, it looked like he was criminally disrespected by Pro Bowl and All-Pro voters. That would change, but shortly after his injuries held him to 13 Games from 2021 to 2023. He is now a Free Agent and might never play another down in the NFL. If that is the case, did he do enough?
It's likely not, as the logjam for Offensive Linemen is looking a lot like Wide Receivers, and the road will be hard. Bakhtiari will, though, enter the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame early, and hopefully, he will do one of his beer speed chugs.

We have used a different algorithm from our initial list, and this has resulted in Packers who have long since retired being shuffled despite not having added any accomplishments. We admit embarrassment, as we had a few legends from the early days of the Packers who were not featured on this list.
We have since rectified that.
As always, we thank you for your support.
From Rice University, Billy Howton made an immediate impact as a rookie for Green Bay. He would be named to the Pro Bowl while leading the National Football League in Receiving Yards (1,231), which is still a team record for a rookie. Howton would stay a top Wide Receiver in the NFL and he would receive Pro Bowl honors in 1955, 1956, and 1957, the latter two seeing him earn First Team All-Pro Selections. 1956 was especially sweet as he would again lead the NFL in Receiving Yards and for the first time ever, he was the leader in Touchdown Receptions. Howton would be a four-time Pro Bowl Selection.
Lavvie Dilweg was a star at Marquette and he would keep his athletic talents in-state as he signed with the Milwaukee Badgers in 1926, but that was short-lived as the team folded that year. He would travel north and join the Green Bay Packers in 1927, a team he played for until 1934. Dilweg was considered to be one of the most complete players of his era, an era in which the football players performed at both ends, and he was viewed by his peers as one of top tacklers and blockers of his day. Stats back then were not well kept, but he was also a decent offensive weapon and overall, he helped the Green Bay Packers win three NFL Championships (1929, 1930 & 1931).
After having a smaller role with the Packers his first three seasons, Jordy Nelson would become a starter in 2011 after having a good post-season assisting Green Bay win Super Bowl XLV. 2011 would see Nelson accrue his first 1,000 Yard Receiving season, where he would turn heads with a 15 Touchdown campaign. Nelson would again exceed the 1,000 Yard mark in 2013 and in 2014 he would have his most productive year with a career high 1,519 Yards, a Second Team All-Pro Selection and a Pro Bowl nod. A torn ACL took him out of 2015 but he would have his fourth and final 1,000 Yard season in a Comeback Player of the Year Award. He also had 14 Touchdown Receptions, which led the league.
