2023: Pre-Season Rank: Unranked. Peak Period 2020-23*
Patrick Queen had the best season of his four-year career, where he earned his first Pro Bowl and Second Team All-Pro and set a personal best 133 Combined Tackles.
*Queen has only played four seasons.

As many of you know, we at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the top 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists and consistently look to update them when necessary and based on necessity. As such, we are delighted to present our post-2023 revision of our top 50 Baltimore Ravens.
As for all of our top 50 players in football, we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles that are not reflected in a stat sheet.
Last year, the Ravens again made it to the playoffs and boasted the league MVP in Lamar Jackson. They did not make it to the Super Bowl, but there was significant movement with two new names and five elevations.
As always, we present our top five, which saw no changes:
1. Ray Lewis
2. Ed Reed
3. Jonathan Ogden
4. Terrell Suggs
5. Marshal Yanda
You can find the entire list here.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who added his second MVP, moves up to #6 from #10. With another good year, Jackson should be able to overtake Yanda to enter the top five.
Cornerback Marlon Humphrey edged up two spots to #21.
Offensive Tackle Ronnie Stanley moved up to #26 from #38.
Tight End Mark Andrews rose to #32 from #35.
The first debut is Linebacker Roquan Smith, arguably the best defensive player on the Ravens roster going into 2024. He has not been with Baltimore for long but has already had two First Team All-Pros as a Raven. He debuts at #41.
Now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cornerback Patrick Queen reached #42 from #46.
The second new entrant is Defensive Tackle Justin Madubuike, who was a Pro Bowl Selection for the first time comes in at #43.
Please note that Kicker Justin Tucker remains at #9.
We thank you for your continued support of our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.
A 2020 Third Round pick from Texas A&M, Justin Madubuike quietly worked his way into a top spot on the Ravens’ Defensive Line.
Madulbuike became a starting Defensive Tackle as an NFL sophomore, but it was his fourth season (2023) where he had 13 Sacks and tied an NFL record with 11 straight games with at least 0.5 Sacks.
The Ravens placed the franchise tag on Madubuike going into 2024, and he can potentially be their top defensive player in a season. That would have already occurred if it had not been for Roquan Smith in 2023.
In 2018, Roquan Smith was the 8th Overall Pick in the 2018 Draft, with the Chicago Bears as his landing spot. Smith had a great run in the Windy City, but after he failed to negotiate a contract extension before the 2022 season, he wanted a way out. Smith continued to dominate on the field, but with the Bears knowing that he wanted out, he was traded to Baltimore midway through the 2022 Season to Baltimore, where he was an instant dominator in the interior.
Smith, already considered one of the best inside linebackers before he was traded, accelerated his game and finished his season as a First Team All-Pro, which was the first time he had ever done so. Smith tasted the post-season for the first time, and in 2023, Smith had his best year in the NFL, adding his second straight First Team All-Pro, where he had his first taste of Defensive Player of the Year votes.
The Baltimore Ravens’ (as of this writing) brief time with Roquan Smith is one of the most impressive brief stints in franchise history.
2023: Pre-Season Rank: #123. Peak Period: 2019-23
Andrews has emerged as one of the top receiving Tight Ends in the 2020s, having been a First Team All-Pro in 2021 and securing three Pro Bowls in his six years of NFL service. Last year, Andrews suffered an injury that derailed his season, but a healthy Andrews in 2024 could be named to his second First Team All-Pro and help anchor the Ravens to a Super Bowl.

Last year, Baltimore made it into the playoffs, but only made it one game in. 2022 yielded two new entrants to the Top 50, and four elevations.
As always, we present our top five, which had no changes.
1. Ray Lewis
2. Ed Reed
You can find the entire list here.
Place Kicker, Justin Tucker, rises one spot to #8. He added his sixth Pro Bowl this year.
Quarterback, Lamar Jackson, who resigned with the Ravens, inched up one rank to #10.
Cornerback, Marlon Humphrey, climbed to #23 from #34. He went to his third Pro Bowl last year.
Tight End, Mark Andrews, moved to #35 from #44. Like Humphrey, Andrews added his third Pro Bowl in 2022.
The two new entries are Offensive Lineman, Ronnie Stanley and Linebacker, Patrick Queen. They debut at #39 and #46 respectively.
We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.
Patrick Queen won a National Championship with LSU in his last NCAA Game, where he was named the Defensive MVP. Months later, he was one many Tigers who were taken in the NFL Draft (28th Overall), and he did not waste time establishing himself in the elite football league.
Queen won the starting job at Linebacker as a rookie, dominating the interior for the Ravens, with a 106 Tackle year. He was named an All-Rookie, and after a solid second year, Queen set a then personal best with 117 Tackles in 2022. Entering 2023 as a possible All-Pro, Queen did just that as a Second Team All-Pro with his first Pro Bowl Selection, and increased his stats to 133 Tackles.
Sadly for the Ravens, Queen signed with their division rival, Pittsburgh for 2024. Queen accumulated 454 Tackles in four years.
Ronnie Stanley was the first Offensive Lineman taken in the 2016 Draft, and though he may not be the most outstanding O-Lineman of his draft class, but he has proved solid over his career.
Earning the starting Left Tackle job as a rookie, Stanley’s first three years were decent, but his fourth year was incredible, where he went to the Pro Bowl and as a First Team All-Pro. Stanley’s 17 in Approximate Value also was good enough for fourth in the NFL.
Stanley was hurt for most 2020 and 2021, dealing with ankle issues, but he returned in 2022 during the regular season, and stayed healthy throughout the rest of the year, and had a bounce-back 2023.
Stanley enters 2024 as an eight-year veteran, who is still a starter.
Sam Koch was one of the few punters to be drafted (he played his college ball at Nebraska) and the choice has proven well for Baltimore, the team he played the entirety of his 16 NFL Seasons. Koch would make the Pro Bowl in 2015 and to date has been in the top ten in Yards per Punt four times. Koch was a member of the Ravens Super Bowl Championship team in Super Bowl XLVII, and at the time of his retirement in 2021, he was seventh all-time in Punting Yards (52,868).
The third player in Baltimore Ravens history to win the AP Defensive Player of the Year, Terrell Suggs is the all-time franchise leader in Quarterback Sacks with 131.5 and in Forced Fumbles with 33. Suggs was also the Defensive Rookie of the Year (2003) and he would play for the Ravens for 16 seasons before signing with the Arizona Cardinals before the 2019 season. The exceptionally versatile defender would be selected for seven Pro Bowls and was a key figure in the Ravens Super Bowl XLVII championship. Suggs would leave Baltimore having played 229 Games and is one of the best defensive players in franchise history.
Suggs 132.5 Sacks and 229 Games are the most in Ravens history. After a season split with Arizona and Kansas City, he won a second Super Bowl as a Chief. He entered the Ravens Ring of Honor in 2022, and as of this writing is the all-time leader in Tackles for Loss (202), and he had 139.0 Sacks in total, currently placing him in the top 15 overall.

As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.
Last year, the Ravens had a disappointing season, going only 8-9 and failing to make the playoffs, but there were some changes in the Top 50, including one new entrant.
As always, we present our top five.
1. Ray Lewis
2. Ed Reed
You can find the entire list here.
Place Kicker, Justin Tucker, who was chosen for his fifth First Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl, and now longest Field Goal record-holder moves up to #9 from #13.
Former MVP, and now two-time Pro Bowl Quarterback, Lamar Jackson, climbs from #19 to #11.
Brandon Williams inched up one spot to #21, but it looks like this will be the end for the Defensive Tackle as he is unsigned after last year.
The recently retired Punter, Sam Koch, moved up to #29. Koch was with the Ravens since he was drafted in 2006.
Marlon Humphrey, Baltimore’s star Cornerback, rocketed to #34 from #48. Another CB, Jimmy Smith edged up two spots to #38.
The new entrant is two-time Pro Bowl Tight End, Mark Andrews, who debuts at #44.
We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.
A Raven for five years (as of this writing), Mark Andrews has shown excellent value as a former Third Round Pick.
Andrews was low in the depth chart coming out of his rookie camp, but he when he got the ball, he proved that he was a future TE1, cracking 500 Yards as a rookie. The former Oklahoma Sooner was a Pro Bowl as a sophomore on the strength of an 852 Yard/10 Touchdown season, and while his numbers dipped in 2020, he rebounded with 1,361 Yards and 9 TDs. Last year, he added a third Pro Bowl (847 Yards/6 TD), and was on his way to a fourth in 2023 before injuries derailed his season after ten Games.
If Andrews can remain one of the top Tight Ends in the NFL, his ranking will climb up quickly.
2023 Pre-Season Rank #92, 2022 Pre-Season Rank #133, 2021 Pre-Season Rank #146. Peak Period: 2019-23
Smith was a Second-Team All-Pro for two years in a row (2020-21), but as good as he was, the Bears were not, and Smith and Chicago became disenchanted with each other. Chicago traded Smith to the Ravens during the season, and it was by far the best year of his career, with a career-high in Approximate Value (17) and landing a First-Team All-pro.
Smith followed it with his second First-Team All-pro selection and his third consecutive year with 150-plus Combined Tackles. Moving forward, if Smith can remain the league’s top Middle Linebacker over the next three seasons, this is a Hall of Fame player.
2023 Pre-Season Rank #112, 2022 Pre-Season Rank #149, 2021 Pre-Season Rank #146. Peak Period: 2018-22
A three-time Pro Bowl Selection, Marlon Humphrey has had inconsistent seasons, but when he is on, he is among the best Cornerbacks in the game. Humphrey’s Ravens are contenders, and if they win it all, with Humphrey adding a Pro Bowl season, it will vault his chances.

2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the NFL.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.
There are two new additions in the Top 50, and some jumps by active Ravens, but nothing affecting our top five. As always, we announce them below
They are:
1. Ray Lewis
2. Ed Reed
5. Haloti Ngata
You can find the entire list here.
The changes are:
Justin Tucker, the best Place Kicker of the last decade has moved up from #16 to #13.
Lamar Jackson, the enigmatic Quarterback and former MVP rocketed from #30 to #19.
Cornerback, Jimmy Smith, moved up one spot to #40.
Linebacker, Matt Judon, who signed with the New England Patriots on the offseason, climbed up six spots to #42.
The new entries are Cornerback,Marlon Humphreyand Offensive Lineman, Orlando Brown Jr., who debut at #48 and #49 respectively.
We welcome your input and commentsand as always, we thank you for your support.
If you are drafted in the First Round and you played for the University of Alabama for Nick Saban you are expected to be good. As of this writing, Marlon Humphrey is blossoming into just that on the pro level.
Marshal Yanda had an illustrious career with the Baltimore Ravens and is considered one of the best Offensive Linemen in the team's history. If not for Jonathan Ogden, he would undoubtedly be the best.
Yanda was selected in the third round of the draft from Iowa. He started 12 of his 16 games as a rookie and was a permanent fixture on the right side of the line from 2010 until his retirement in 2019. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2011 and went on to receive this honor a total of eight times. He was a two-time First Team All-Pro and a Second Team Selection five times. His presence on the O-Line helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII, and his footwork and blocking techniques were so perfect that Offensive Guards will be studying his work for years.
Yanda's lunch pail work ethic made him a star in the eyes of his peers, coaches, and fans. He was one of the most regimented players in the game, and barring injury never having an off year. He was an All-Decade Player and a pleasure to watch play.

As for all of our top 50 players in football we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.
This is the first revision since we put up this list after the 2016 Season.

1. Ray Lewis
2. Ed Reed
5. Haloti Ngata

Marshal Yanda, who recently retired, went from #10 to 6. Linebacker, C.J. Mosley, makes his first appearance at #12. Mosley played for Baltimore from 2014 to 2018, and is currently a New York Jet. Place Kicker, Justin Tucker, who should have been ranked before, enters at #16. Nose Tackle, Brandon Williams debuts at #22. Former Safety, Eric Weddle comes in at #28. Lamar Jackson, who was an MVP last year in what was only his second season, debuts at #30. The other additions are Cornerback, Jimmy Smith at #41 and Linebacker, Matt Judon at #48.
