2023 Pre-Season Rank Unranked. Peak Period: 2019-23
Josh Hines-Allen is coming off his best season, where he was second in Quarterback Sacks (17.5) and had career-bests in Combined Tackles (66), Tackles for Loss (17), and Quarterback Hits (33). This gave him his second Pro Bowl, the first coming in his 2019 rookie campaign.
Yes, we know that this is taking a while!
As many of you know, we at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the top 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists and consistently look to update them when necessary and based on necessity. As such, we are delighted to present our post-2023 revision of our top 50 Jacksonville Jaguars.
As for all of our top 50 players in football, we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles that are not reflected in a stat sheet.
Last year, the Jaguars got off to great start, but faltered and fell out of the playoffs. Nevertheless, with an organization this young you can see shifts, and we have three new entrants.
As always, we present our top five, which saw no changes:
1. Jimmy Smith
2. Fred Taylor
3. Tony Boselli
4. Mark Brunell
5. Maurice Jones-Drew
You can find the entire list here.
The first new entry is Trevor Lawrence, the former number one overall pick and a former Pro Bowl Selection.
Two-time Pro Bowl Linebacker Josh Hines-Allen enters the list at #43.
Left Tackle Cam Robinson makes his debut at #47.
Defensive End Joel Smeenge, Nose Tackle Seth Payne, and Punter Bryan Barker have fallen off the list.
We thank you for your continued support of our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.
A seven-year veteran at Offensive Tackle, Cam Robinson has started all 84 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Robinson, who came to the club as a Second-Round Pick from Alabama, won a National Championship with the Crimson Tide, the Outland Trophy, and was a Unanimous All-American.
Robinson has a possible Pro Bowl in him.
In his final year at Kentucky (2018), Josh Hines-Allen was the best Linebacker in the nation, winning the Chuck Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Jack Lambert Trophy, and SEC Defensive Player of the Year. This success propelled him to the seventh overall pick in the 2019 Draft, landing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hines-Allen was an All-Rookie and Pro Bowl Selection, becoming the first Jaguar rookie to make the Pro Bowl. He also led his team in Sacks (10.5). His second season was disappointing as he missed half of it with an injury, but the pass-rusher would rebound, and in 2023 Hines-Allen had career-highs in Sacks (17.5), Tackles for Loss (17), and Quarterback Hits (33). This season would earn him his second Pro Bowl.
Entering 2024 with 45 career Sacks, Hines-Allen will need to build on 2023 to make a run for the top twenty on this list.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been around since 1995, but they did not get their true franchise Quarterback until they drafted Trevor Lawrence with the number one pick in 2021.
The Jags struggled in Lawrence’s rookie year, a far cry from his success at Clemson, where he led the Tigers to a National Championship. As a rookie, Lawrence threw for 3,641 Yards but only won three games and threw a league-leading 17 Interceptions. The Jags improved around Lawrence in 2022, as did the QB, who had 4,113 Yards and a TD-INT ratio of 25-8. Individually, he went to the Pro Bowl and took Jacksonville to the playoffs. Last season, he again had over 4,000 Passing Yards and enters 2024 as a top-10 pivot.
Undrafted in 2013, A.J. Bouye signed with the Houston Texans and made the team. Used as the third or fourth Cornerback for his first three years, he started 11 Games in 2016 and proved himself to be good enough to start for any team. A free agent, Bouye signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he promptly had his best season, where he had a career-best six Interceptions, was a Second Team All-Pro and went to his only Pro Bowl. Bouye never had a year like that again, and he played four more years, two with the Jags and one each with Denver and Carolina.
He had 14 Interceptions and 366 Combined Tackles.

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity. As such, we are very happy to present our post 2022 revision of our top 50 Jacksonville Jaguars.
As for all of our top 50 players in football we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.
Last year, the Jaguars were a surprise entrant into the playoffs, but despite this and being a young franchise, there were no changes to our Top 50.
As always, we present our top five, which (obviously) did not change.
1. Jimmy Smith
2. Fred Taylor
3. Tony Boselli
4. Mark Brunell
You can find the entire list here.
While there were no new entrants, we expect that there will be at least two next year.
We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.

Last year, the Jaguars were abysmal, finishing last overall with a 3-14 record, and a team this bad is not expected to have anyone new in a top 50, and they didn’t, though there was one elevation.
As always, we present our top five:
1. Jimmy Smith
2. Fred Taylor
3. Tony Boselli
4. Mark Brunell

The only rise was Linebacker, Myles Jack, who played his last season with the Jaguars last year, as he is now a Pittsburgh Steeler. He moved up to #35 from #38.
We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.
2023 Pre-Season Rank #88, 2022 Pre-Season Rank #91, 2021 Pre-Season Rank #117. Peak Period 2016-17/2019-21
A five-time Pro Bowl selection with Washington, Brandon Scherff is entering his third season in Jacksonville, where he has been solid, but not quite at Pro Bowl level. At age 33, he still has time but has to earn a few more post-season accolades.

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team. We have a new one to unveil today, that of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars have only been in existence since 1995 and while they have not appeared in a Super Bowl, there have been many talented players who have worn their jersey.
As for all of our top 50 players in football we look at the following:
1. Advanced Statistics.
2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the NFL.
3. Playoff accomplishments.
4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.
Remember, this is ONLY based on what a player does on that particular team and not what he accomplished elsewhere and also note that we have placed an increased importance on the first two categories.
This list is updated up until the end of the 2019 Season.
The complete list can be found here, but as always we announce our top five in this article. They are:
1. Jimmy Smith
2. Fred Taylor
3. Tony Boselli
4. Mark Brunell
We will continue our adjustments on our existing lists and will continue developing our new lists. Up next, will be the Dallas Cowboys.
Look for our more material coming soon!
As always we thank you for your support.
Leonard Fournette was a Jacksonville Jaguar for the first three seasons of his carer, where he was one of the most promising Running Backs in football.
James Stewart had better seasons ahead with the Detroit Lions, but he was a serviceable Running Back during his time with Jacksonville.
Rob Meier was the league’s number one draft pick…of the Canadian Football League.
With the exception of his rookie season, Paul Spicer would spend his entire NFL career with Jacksonville.
Byron Leftwich had an excellent career at Marshall, and he was chosen seventh overall by Jacksonville in the 2003 Draft.
A college player at Purdue, the Jaguars, chose Uche Nwaneri in the 5th Round in 2007. The Offensive Guard made the team, and as a sophomore, he would become the starting Left Guard. The year after, he moved to Right Guard, which would be the position he played for the duration of his career.
Undrafted out of Maine, Montell Owens would find a home with Jacksonville, where he became one of their best Special Teams player in franchise history.
A.J. Cann played the first seven years of his career (2015-21) with the Jacksonville Jaguars following his selection as a Third Round Pick from South Carolina.
After four years with the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans, Gary Walker joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1999, where he played for three years.
