The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame still has a lot of unanswered questions, but we are learning slowly about some of the inductors for the ceremony on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  Three presenters have been announced.

Neil Young will be inducting Pearl Jam, Jackson Browne will be inducting Joan Baez and Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush will be inducting Yes.  It is notable that all of these inductors are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers themselves.

It is not known yet who will be inducting ELO, Nile Rodgers, Tupac Shakur and Journey.

We will keep our ears open for more Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony news.  You know there will be a lot more coming!

A very successful Singer/Songwriter throughout the 70’s, Jackson Browne combined angst and sensitivity to become a beloved musical star.  His political singing has also kept him relevant and in the public eye.

Although they did not receive the same the level of commercial success or critical acclaim as other Country Rock bands, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is one of the longest lasting and pivotal bands of the genre. They came out of the Southern California Folk Rock movement and were part of the group that melded it with Country. The Nashville community seemed to embrace the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band more than other Country Rock bands of their era, yet simultaneously they did not receive the same kind of love from the Rock and Roll community. The latter point will probably be enough to keep them out of the Hall.
