As a solo star, Curtis Mayfield was one of the first stars of Funk and one if the first social conscious of African American Music.  He is definitely worth to be one of the few artists to be inducted twice.

As one of the links between 50’s R&B and 60’s Soul, the Impressions were almost a pre-All Star vocal group that boasted some of the finest voices of the business.  Their blend of beautiful music and social consciousness rendered them as legends.
