It was already announced that Don Nelson had made the Basketball Hall of Fame, as had several others from other committees. The 2012 Basketball Hall of Fame Class is now complete:
Reggie Miller has joined the Hall of Fame. The Indiana Pacers star should have been a lock last year, but for reasons we are not sure of, he had to wait another year. No matter, he is in where he belongs.
Miller is joined by Ralph Sampson and Jamaal Wilkes, who were both ranked (although in very different spots) on our list. Sampson's inclusion makes us wonder if the Basketball Hall of Fame will still make College Hoops an equal component of the Hall.
We congratulate all three on joining the Basketball Hall of Fame.
It has been released that Rick Pitino will not make it to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Pitino's snub is likely only temporary, as he is certainly a future entry. What does puzzle us, is the amount of leaks that happen, taking away the excitement of an announcement. This one of the MANY ways in which the Basketball Hall of Fame trails behind the other major sports.
We would like to congratulate Don Nelson, whom has been named to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Nelson had over 1,200 career wins and is considered the best coach never to win a championship. We are eagerly awaiting to see who else gets in.
So.... what's coming soon?
Now that our favorite time of year is over, our intention is to unveil revisions on what has already occurred.
By March 1st, look for the revised Rock and Roll list
By March 15, look for the Baseball and Football lists to both be revised
Also, a major section will be unveiled this May. We think you will like it very much!
Until then, stay tuned, and keep checking us out!
