gold star for USAHOF

The problem with running a Hall of Fame-related website is that many of the big ones we cover all have announcements within months of each other.  The backbone of what we do is list-related, so this results in a long push to revise what we already have; specifically, now with our Football and Basketball Lists.

At present, we have a minor update as we have completed the fourth ten of the 2024 Basketball List, which you can comment on and vote on:

The new 31 to 40:

31. Larry Nance
32. Sam Cassell
33. Horace Grant
34. Eddie Jones
35. Ron Boone
36. Gene Shue
37. Joakim Noah
38. Stephon Marbury
39. A.C. Green
40. Hersey Hawkins

Rankings are impacted annually based on your comments and votes.

Thank you all for your patience. We will soon unveil more changes to the football and basketball lists.

This is a long process isn’t it?

As many of you are aware, we are in the process of working on another series of lists here at Notinhalloffame.com.  That is the Top 50 players of every major North American Franchise.  As such, we are proud to present our second team (all of which whose order has been chosen at random), the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Granted, we know that Minnesota has not been an overly successful franchise, but the process means that we have to do them all!

Clearly the number one choice is obvious, the recently retired Kevin Garnett, but the fun part is watching this list change with it being a young franchise.

We will give you the top five now for those of you interested:

1. Kevin Garnett

2. Kevin Love

3. Wally Szczerbiak

4. Terrell Brandon

5. Tom Gugliotta

Who are the rest?

You can find them here:

We will be unveiling another franchise from Minnesota, the Minnesota Vikings.

As always, we here at Notinhalloffame.com thank you for your support!
The well travelled (eight teams in fifteen years) Sam Cassell plied his trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves for just two seasons, one of which resulted in his only All Star Game appearance.  In that season, the Point Guard would average 19.8 Points per Game and a 22.8 PER, both of which were career highs when he was with one team during an NBA campaign.  He would also be named to a post season All-NBA team, again the only time in his career that occurred.

39. Sam Cassell

Sam Cassell may never have been the best player on any team he was on, but didn’t it always seem that as soon as he got to a team, they got better? Cassell was a great locker room guy, a good leader, an efficient passer and a feisty defender. He is the only player in NBA history to play over ten years and win a championship in his first and last campaign. Yet, when you play for eight different squads and only appear on one All Star Team (and again was never the go to player), is he really a Hall of Famer? Probably not, but didn’t you want him on your team?
