After debuting for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2016, he was traded to the Mariners the year after, where he would make the most of his opportunity and increased playing time.
The Rightfielder broke out in 2018, where he had 170 Hits, 26 Home Runs, 93 RBIs, and a .285 Batting Average. Haniger would go to the All-Star Game, and he was expected to lead the rebuilding Mariners the following season. Unfortunately, Haniger suffered an injury where he had a ruptured testicle when a fastball hit him in the…balls. Haniger also sat out the 2020 Season, though COVID-19 also kept him from opting in.
Haniger roared back in 2021, posting current career-highs in Home Runs (39) and RBIs (100), though he was less of a complete player than he was in 2018. Injuries held Haniger to less than 60 Games in 2022, and this was the end of his run in Seattle, as he signed with the San Francisco Giants afterward, though he did return briefly in 2024
