Ring of Honor announced that former Champion, CM Punk will join The Briscoe Brothers, Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe as part of the first Hall of Fame Class. Making his ROH debut in 2002 won the ROH Tag Team Titles twice with Colt Cabana, and the ROH World Title in 2005 when he defeated Austin Aries.  His most famous run was the “Summer of Punk” when he had signed with the WWE, but was still the ROH Champion.  He finally lost the title to James Gibson in a four-way match. The Finalists are: Leta Andrews:  Andrews is one of the most successful basketball high school coaches of all-time, coaching from 1962 to 2014 with a lifetime record of 1,416-355.  She is already a member of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and has been a Finalist three times before. Wrestlemania season is coming soon, and there is nobody better to be named as the headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022 than the Undertaker. A native of Texas, Mark Callaway debuted for the WWE as the Undertaker at the 1990 Survivor Series, and at the 1991 Survivor Series, he beat Hulk Hogan for his first World Heavyweight Title.  Since that time, the Undertaker appeared in countless main events, won three more World Titles and headlined multiple Wrestlemanias, most notably amassing a 21-match win streak. As was expected, one of the all-time Washington Nationals greats, Ryan Zimmerman, announced today that he is retiring from Baseball. Drafted in the First Round in 2005, Zimmerman made the big leagues that year, and remained with the Nationals for all of his sixteen seasons. An All-Star in 2009 and 2017, Zimmerman was a solid power hitter, who had seven 20-Home Run years with a pair of Silver Sluggers (2009 & 2010).  Batting .277 lifetime for Washington, Zimmerman was a veteran presence on the 2019 team that won the World Series, the first for the organization.Zimmerman was a member of the…

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame announced the eight-person Class of 2022, pared down from 12 Finalists announced last month. The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on June 11. The Class of 2022 are:: Debbie Antonelli (Broadcaster).  Antonelli has been a broadcaster for 34 years and has worked for ESPN, CNS, FOX, Westwood One and the Big Ten Network. Alice “Cookie” Barron (Player).  Barron played for the Waylon Baptist Flying Queens and helped them win three National Championships.  She also helped take the United States to Gold in the 1957 FIBA World Championship. Last week, we here at Notinhalloffame.com had our mock Pro Football Hall of Fame Committee, where we debated came up with our Class of 2022, which consisted of Richard Seymour, Tony Boselli, LeRoy Butler, Devin Hester and Patrick Willis.
