He was not an injury prone player, but became infamous in the NHL for the large amount of cuts he would sustain on his face (he estimated he had 600 stitches) which was not exactly a shock considering the physical style in which he played Hockey. Bill Gadsby may be one of the better players in Hockey history (as shown by his seven post season All Star selections) to go conclude a career without a Stanley Cup.
