10. Sabu - Huka Blues

Yes, we know this is an ECW theme, and should we ever do the best themes in ECW history, “Huka Blues” would be either #1 or #2, possibly behind the unauthorized use of “Enter Sandman” by Metallica for the Sandman.  However, this is the song that Sabu used when he was in the WWE and it is a song that is now the property of the “E”.

Harry Slash, who wrote most of the original music for Paul Heyman’s ECW, never wrote Huka Blues with Sabu in mind.  It was a piece that he composed (actually with lyrics) for a completely different purpose but it proved to be a perfect match for the wrestler who is “suicidal”, “homicidal” and “genocidal”.

Sabu (Terry Brunk) was the nephew of the Original Sheik and was billed as being from India, and later to acknowledge his actual American birth, was from “Bombay, Michigan”.  Still, he wrestled in Arabic garb and that theme certainly had a modern take on Arabic sounding music.  With a slower tempo and high production, it was an excellent juxtaposition to the fast paced and often reckless style of Sabu.

Either way, you know something sinister is coming to the ring!
