Unlike the Flash Gordon theme, “Glorious” is pompous and arrogant and so deliberately over the top that it drips in insincerity, a perfect fit for Roode’s persona in NXT, and later the WWE. There have been many wrestlers who act better than their opponents but none of them deliver that better just by standing there than Roode does.
As of this writing, Roode is languishing on the Smackdown roster and isn’t doing very much but he still has that theme and anyone who has that can easily vault back to the top. Seriously, that is how good this theme is.
The robe, the walk, the mannerisms…it is truly “Glorious”.
Oh, and can you believe that this was originally intended for Shinsuke Nakamura? That would not have been glorious.
Lyrics:
Glorious
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
'till i'm victorious
And I will defend
I will defend
Glorious
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
'till i'm victorious
and I will defend
I will defend
And I'll do what I must
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
Oh, so glorious
Until the end.
Until the end
Glorious
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
'till i'm victorious
and I will defend
I will defend
And I'll do what I must
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
Oh, so glorious
Until the end
Until the end
Glorious
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
'till i'm victorious
and I will defend
I will defend
And I'll do what I must
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
Oh, so glorious
Until the end
Until the end
Glorious
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
'till i'm victorious
and I will defend
I will defend
And I'll do what I must
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
Oh, so glorious
Until the end
Until the end
Glorious
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
'till i'm victorious
and I will defend
I will defend
And I'll do what I must
No, I won't give in
I wont give in
Oh, so glorious
Until the end
Until the end
