Many times, wrestling promoters talk of someone who has the “look” of a wrestler. Looking back in the past twenty five years or so, it seems difficult to find anyone who had the designation more than Sid Eudy.
Far from a technical marvel, Psycho Sid looked like a monster who was carved out of granite. Although he was anointed by many as the wrestler of the 90’s, a series of bad decisions and a lack of overall improvement of his work may have kept him from becoming the complete superstar that he seemed to be destined for, but again it was that perfect look for wrestling that kept giving him additional chances. He was a top of the card performer for a large part of his career so it was not that he did not have a great career (because he most certainly did), but it wasn’t quite the career that wrestling prognosticators envisioned for him in 1991.
