Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez
The undisputed talent of the Sandlot kids, Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez was not just a great Baseball player, but the cool kid who had no problem embracing others for what could easily be categorized as “uncool”.
This was all the more impressive, as he was the leader of a band of misfits, without really being one himself. We learned at the end of the movie that he would become a star for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and didn’t we automatically assume that he maintained the same values, even though he probably signed a multi-million dollar contract? Either way, Benny “The Jet” was someone we all wished we had as a friend when we were twelve years old.
The Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame is happy to welcome Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez to the 2016 Class!
