Matthew Joyce played his first 92 Games of his Major League career with the Detroit Tigers (2008), and he would be traded after to Tampa, where he spent most of 2009 honing his craft in the Minors. 

Joyce became the starting Rightfielder in 2010, and he was an All-Star in 2011.  This was his best season as a Ray with 128 Hits, 19 Home Runs, and a .277 Batting Average.  Joyce’s batting would decline after, though he would continue to have respectable power numbers with a 17 and 18 Home Run year.  He was dealt to the Los Angeles Angels, and he would overall have 75 taters as a Ray.
