After being drafted in the 12th Round of the 1997 Draft, Joel Pineiro would reach the majors in 2000, and made it to the Mariners starting rotation in 2002.

’02 was a good season for Pineiro, as he won 14 Games with a 3.24 ERA.  2003 was arguably better, as the starter won 16 Games with 211.2 Innings Pitched and a career-best 151 Strikeouts.  It would go off the rails after, as his ERA grew nearly a run each of the next three seasons, and the Mariners chose not to resign him.

With Seattle, he had a record of 58-55 with 658 Strikeouts.
