With a crooning voice that may have been as Country as they come, Cline’s recordings have that rare timeless appeal that few artists of the early 60’s (or any era can match). With an ability to sound delicate and powerful at the same time she was able to reach Pop success without sacrificing her Traditional Country sound. The Rock and Roll Hall has not had a history of recognizing Traditional Country stars but one with this type of success may be hard to ignore forever.
