One of the common threads on our site is that of the Indie band and whether they will have a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  From the 90’s comes the case of Built to Spill which has been described as an interesting blend of Neil Young meets Dinosaur Jr.   What works in their favor is the high amount of current acclaimed bands that have cited Built to Spill as an influence but with the plight of many an Indie band, they will be denied based on having little commercial success.
